Q. What does my Free computer or cell phone repair estimate include?
Your repair price estimate always includes Both replacement parts and labor. And if needed, pickup and delivery is always free!
Q. Am I expected to pay for my repair before or is payment due upon receipt?
Final payment is always only expected upon completion of your device repair and your complete satisfaction. (A nominal deposit may be required for some parts/hardware, but this is always clearly explained with your Free estimate.)
Q. What if you cannot repair my device, do I still have to pay?
We do not charge for diagnostics and if we cannot fix your computer or phone, you will not be charged.
Q. I'm not exactly sure what is wrong with my computer, can you still help me if I can't explain the issue?
Yes! As part of our onsite diagnostic service, we will set up right in front of you and go over all of the issues we can see. This way you can describe the problems you are having with the computer in the best way possible and leave the fix to us!
Q. Why shouldn’t I just buy a new computer?
Part of your Free repair estimate is to determine the best options for you and your computer needs. Sometimes, upgrading to a new computer system is the best option for you, but a lot of times it is more cost effective to upgrade your computer with additional memory or a larger, faster storage capacity. We will be happy to give you our recommendations on the most value-added upgrades for your system
Q. Can Computer Chalet backup data on my device?
Yes! If you want to backup data stored on your device, you have come to the right place! We provide data backup, data recovery, and data transfer services to ensure you don’t lose any of it.
Q. Is there a difference between a cell phone glass screen replacement and a cell phone LCD replacement?
Yes. Many cell phone screen repairs can be completed with just a new glass screen. However, some cell phones like iPhones can benefit from a complete LCD replacement (which is a combination of the glass screen and digitizer fused together from the manufacturer). In either case, this is all clearly explained to you in your initial Free repair estimate.
Q. When should a cell phone's battery be replaced?
The typical cell phone battery begins to deteriorate after 400 charging cycles. The average user will reach this point after 1-2 years of regular usage.
Q. My phone doesn't charge. How can I tell if it's the battery or charge port?
If your phone does not charge altogether, check to see if the port is loose or dirty. If it’s loose or dirty, you will most likely need a cleaning or charging port replacement. If an aux cord can be firmly plugged in, you are most likely experiencing a battery issue.
Q. Does Computer Chalet sell parts or tools?
Computer Chalet does not sell parts or tools. We only sell refurbished electronics and of course offer repairs!
